Below you will see a picture a book along with a teacher, a kid, and me.
During the time of this picture, a reading assessment was taking place.
This week is just over the halfway mark during my whole internship experience. So far I'm loving my internship, I'm loving what it has to offer and I'm loving all of the new things it's teaching me. The main student that I work with has been improving so much in just the short time that I've been working with him. Our relationship has gotten so much better these past 3 weeks and we've held some really great conversations following in the topic of the books that he reads aloud to me during reading time.
This internship has benefitted me in so many ways, specifically how to go more in-depth when verbally trying to explain something. For example; Because my internship was completely remote/virtual, I had to re-teach myself how to better explain things (usually when it comes to subjects like math or writing), rather than trying to show my thinking in a more physical way (e.g. writing/drawing it out, using objects to count, ect.).
